Theological Encounters is a communications/media arm for The One Holy Catholic & Apostolic Church. This site is designed to be a social media hub for the Church. We hope it becomes a place of safety and solitude. A great alternative to other social media sites available. A place where Christians can speak their mind and don’t have to worry about the “thought police”. The One Holy Catholic & Apostolic Church was birthed in America. As such the American ideal of freedom of speech is prominent
The First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances
Recent Times
In recent times there have been many attacks on people. Some of which have been infringements on speech and religion. Theological Encounters is designed to be an organization controlled by the One Holy Catholic & Apostolic Church that not only upholds the freedom of speech and religion but also protects and fights for it. These are God-given rights that our founding fathers recognized but also constitutionalized for us.
501c3
Many Church organizations have chosen to accept the 501c3 status. However, the One Catholic & Apostolic Church has chosen not to be muzzled.
“Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. Contributions to political campaign funds or public statements of position (verbal or written) made on behalf of the organization in favor of or in opposition to any candidate for public office clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign activity. Violating this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise taxes.”
The One Holy Catholic & Apostolic Church not only believes but teaches that all members should have some sort of involvement in politics, this includes the leader(s) of the church as the leader(s) are also members. Because obtaining 501c3 is not required the One Holy Catholic & Apostolic Church along with its subsidiaries has chosen not to obtain it. Rest assured your donations can be claimed as a charitable deduction
“Churches (including integrated auxiliaries and conventions or associations of churches) that meet the requirements of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code are automatically considered tax exempt and are not required to apply for and obtain recognition of exempt status from the IRS. Donors are allowed to claim a charitable deduction for donations to a church that meets the section 501(c)(3) requirements even though the church has neither sought nor received IRS recognition that it is tax exempt.”
That is unless the IRS decides to add us to the Automatic Revocation of Exemption List. With the current political environment, I assume that could be possible.
